Wearable devices have been around for a long time and athletes are wearing them in training and in competition to collect biometric data that might be critical for their performance.

In volleyball where height is everything, players are wearing VERT (https://www.myvert.com) devices to collect their jump data.

For the last few months, Perana Sports has been working with VERT to provide what could be the first ever piece of software in the world that incorporates biometric data with match stats and video in DVMate.

Drop in VERT’s booth at the annual AVCA (American Volleyball Coaches Association) convention this year in Minneapolis to see a demo if you’re there. Or check out the video below to see how quick and easy it is to incorporate the two datasets.

DVMate is currently under development and being tested by the Japanese and Dutch national teams along with a number of colleges in the US for the last few years. We hope to have it available on the App Store in early 2019.
