Using online videos with Fulcrum Technologies servers

Fulcrum Technologies is a Sydney based company who provides visual data solutions for some of the biggest sporting organisations in Australia.

iPads have a very limited storage capacity and it is a pain trying to juggle available space for your next video. Storing match videos online helps alleviate that problem. Further more, the play lists feature in NetballStats has been designed to fully utilise the advantage of having videos online.

This section demonstrates the ease of combining Fulcrum Technologies video servers with NetballStats to give your team the best competitive edge.

Fulcrum Technologies can be contacted on contact@fulcrumtec.com.

Please note that the video will need to be processed once uploaded. This might take several minutes depends on the size of your video.

1. Click on your latest post

1. Copy HLS URL

1. Back in NetballStats, tap Stats button to access video screen

1. Tap Video button

1. Tap Filmstrip button to select match video

1. Enter (or paste) URL of video obtained from a previous step. If you have entered the video server address in Settings then it will be automatically added to the URL field.
There might be a delay (depends on your internet speed) whilst NeballStats attempts to access the video.

There might be a time that you find yourself without access to the internet eg, on the plane on your trip home.

If this is the case then you can always work with the same match video imported to your iPad locally. The good news is that play lists created with local videos can be viewed on devices without the same videos locally. Viewer apps will look for equivalent videos online if they don't exist on the device.
